- The length of the text used
- The language skills to be tested (include macro and micro skills)
- The language elements to be tested
- The test tasks
- The test methods
- Rubrics or instructions of the test
- Criteria for marking
- The descriptions of the typical performance at each level
- The description of what candidates at each level can do out there
- Sample papers of previous similar test(s)
- Samples of students' performance on tasks
